Kirkland House Annex Courtyard - from the sidewalk, the entrance is the small wrought iron gate immediately to the left of the Master's house entrance. The gate will be unlocked during this time… no swipe card required. We'll be by Dom's memorial tree and stone.
A small group of us (Brian Shortsleeve, Jon Caverley and myself) are organizing a memorial get-together for our dear friend Dom Armijo. We would love if you and others who knew Dom could find time in your busy reunion schedule to swing by, share some fond memories of Dom, and just share a moment to catch up amongst ourselves in the midst of a dizzying reunion weekend.
I scraped the Red Book for as many email addresses of ROTC people as I could, but time (i.e., memory) as well as limited information in the Red Book pretty much guarantees that I've missed a few people. If you are at all connected with Chris Dewing or Duane Lawrence or others who may also like to attend the get-together for Dom, please pass on these details by email or social media. Families are more than welcome to attend.
We’ll have some light refreshments and snacks for all ages.
Lowell House Library ("D" Entry)
We wanted to invite you to a small and informal memorial gathering that we are organizing for our classmate Dan Markel '95 during our upcoming reunion. (This is in addition to the class-wide memorial service on Sunday.) We hope this event will offer an opportunity for all of us to share stories and memories of Dan (which we know many of you have) at greater length and in a more intimate setting than the Sunday service will allow.
We are also planning to announce a new memorial tribute to Dan at Lowell House that will weave his memory into the life of the House community. at for this gathering.
If you are so inclined, please bring a story or memory to share with the group. And please forward this to anyone who you think would be interested in joining -- all are welcome.
Light refreshments will be served.
